Service your watch regularly
Ideally, a quartz watches can be serviced every three years. Also, replace a dead battery as soon as possible to avoid the risk of leakage that can cause a serious damage to your watch.
But remember…
Never open your watch by yourself!
Your watch is made of many individual components, designed with precision. It works for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It certainly deserves a great amount of attention. Opening your watch can expose it to dust, dirt, and other particles that can get inside the mechanism. It can also impact the water resistance of your watch.
Avoid scratches
It’s only a matter of time before your watch glass or strap shows scratches. To avoid this, remove your watch during activities that could create scratches.
Also, do not wear your bracelets on the same wrist. Wrist jewelry might scratch either the sides or the glass of your watch.
And be careful, do not drop your watch on the ground! In addition to the possible scratches, unexpected impact may cause damage to the crystal, case, and the internal components.
